Health surveillance

Sicurmas works closely with employers to assess whether health surveillance needs to be introduced in the company, based on an analysis of the specific risks present. To support this process, we provide Occupational Physicians and prepare all the necessary paperwork, both for appointing the physician and for carrying out health surveillance.

Current legislation, in particular Legislative Decree 81/08, requires companies to appoint an Occupational Physician wherever workers are exposed to specific health risks. This is essential to safeguard people’s health and safety in the workplace. The main purpose of health surveillance is to prevent occupational diseases and avoid any kind of workplace injury through careful, ongoing monitoring of workers’ health and the working environment. In this way, Sicurmas is actively committed to ensuring a safe and healthy workplace for every employee.

Physician's site visit

Workplace inspections

The Occupational Physician plays a key role in managing health and safety in the workplace. They are required to carry out periodic inspections of the workplace, at least once a year, to monitor working conditions and workers’ health. During these visits, they work closely with the Head of the Prevention and Protection Service, ensuring a thorough analysis of the risks and the safety measures in place.

These site visits are crucial not only for assessing the current state of the workplace, but also for advising and supporting the employer, with the aim of continuously raising health and safety standards in the company. After each visit, the Occupational Physician draws up a detailed report summarising observations and recommendations. This document is an essential part of company records and must be kept for any inspections by the supervisory authority.
